Born in Tagawa City, Fukuoka Prefecture in 1940. Graduated from Kanagawa University, Faculty of Law and Economics, Department of Trade.
He has been involved in martial arts since he was a child, starting with bayonet fighting, judo, karate (Wado Ryu and Kyokushinkan), and Chinese martial arts (Xing Yi Quan).
Based on this training and his own philosophy and experience, he has developed a comprehensive system of martial arts that includes strikes, submission, throwing techniques, chokehold techniques, and weaponry.
He is one of the few people in modern Japan with actual combat experience.
He has been called upon to teach martial arts to the Dalai Lama’s security office, the Philippine police and Special Forces SWAT team, as well as to Myanmar, Thailand, Egypt, Iraq, the U.S. and European countries.
For his years of experience in combat and teaching his ways, he is a renowned martial artist worldwide.
In 2009, he founded Hiko Ryu to pass on his martial arts and bushido spirit to future generations. He is currently working to teach the younger generation worldwide.
